yea! :)
Like our good friend, Gloria, who is a retired RN, Midwife and has spent years working through missions orgs and the Mercy ship. (she and her husband spent three months last fall working in an orphanage in the Sudan). She told me once, that life REALLY only begins at 40. And she sure is right. Gloria is around seventy and has made excellent use of her second life. And I am sure that you will too!

Congratulations!
My father was a cop all my life in different agencies including New York. He died at age 58 from a massive heart attack 3 days before retirement. He had such plans...
Being a police officer is hard and unappreceiated by most since most are the ones going to jail. Enjoy your retirement. Get out and enjoy the "better" side of life. Why do school principals only seem to see the bad children? They have to go out of their way to see the "good" ones.
Go see the Good and enjoy God.
Wow....sorry to hear of your dad's passing. That is all to common as the stresses of the job take their toll. May his memory be eternal.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Good for you on making it all the way to the end. I am sure it will take you some time to decompress from the rigors of the job. I loved the job but I love not being a cop so much more. You will be in my prayers brother!
In Christ
